On May 13, 2025, Fox 29 journalist Bruce Gordon presented The Cultivator with the Mid-Atlantic High School Student Production Award for their video “Mr. Schuler Feature.”
This award in the category of News: General Assignment–Light News comes from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, better known for their Emmy awards. After the winning video played, Gordon explained what Cultivator students did well when setting up their interview.
Evan Zheng, Zariah Lewis, Makaylah Sydnor, Dinae Pierce, and Timothy Holmes operated cameras for the feature while Marlowe Whittenberg conducted the interview. Lewis and Whittenberg wrote the script and Zheng was assisted by Spencer Hazelwood and Nicholas Kruck in video editing.
