Surrounded by a sea of blue jackets and professional clothes may not be the way students in every school spend Nov. 5, but for W.B. Saul students, the Future Farmers of America (FFA) Fall Regional competitions are an annual occurrence where students can grow their skills. The 7:15 a.m. departure time, combined with the hour-and-a-half drive, can scare students away from participating.

During the years at Walter B. Saul we have a minimum of animals, some changed during the years due to unexpected situations, but most stayed the same. Emily Cullen, an equine management teacher, explains about the situations between losing animals and getting new animals to take care of.
